Isn’t it disingenuous to dismiss “streaming and DVR and all that” as viewing audiences that are not counted in Nielsen Ratings?

Isn’t this just the classic “Weather vs Climate” fallacy? Does this paper connect localized heating (which could make nights feel warmer in the Midwest) to global warming (which is melting the ice caps, disrupting ocean currents, and causing extreme weather)? Are they claiming any connection or are we just supposed to
