I still don’t know what an art monster is.

See the “duke of Kent’s” post explaining how brackets really work.  There is no reason you should care about being $300 over the line, unless your point is that you wish you were making more money.

Bending was definitely something you were born with or weren’t in A:TLA. That’s why Katara can bend but Sokka can’t.

Nah, no retcon there. You were just completely misreading the show.

So you never got how people of other nations could only do the one martial art style? I mean there was the whole Dali Lama thing of the Avatar being born in to the different tribes. I don’t maybe I took it for granted based on the different nations only being able to do it, and only benders born with the ability could

Cho has made herself one of the main voices of this debate and was publicly criticizing the movie and Swinton. If someone does that, they can’t then claim that if someone wants to talk about it with them that they are being turned to as the only Asian in the room. She has set herself up as an expert on this issue for

All these machinations about how to kick Trump out of office now, or limit his power, when all we had to fucking do was vote for Hillary Clinton in the first place.

I prefer the shark ones that make you look like you’re being eaten.

Slightly off-topic: IS anybody other than me finding it a little creepy that his daughter Ivanka, seems to be preparing to fulfill the FLOTUS role? It seems that Melania has little or no interest in being FLOTUS. In fact, her attitude this entire time has been more along the lines of “I did not sign up for this.”

I just feel actively bad all the time

the most unbelievable part of the whole story is that this hayseed fucknut uttered the word “nefarious”

This is without a doubt a tragedy that shouldn’t have happened, but I do think spaces like these are complex. Humans tend to want to gather, to celebrate, to grieve, to connect, and art is often what allows that. When extreme wealth disparity and gentrification pushes folks into alternative spaces, those spaces can be

Please people don’t make jokes about this. This was a huge tragedy and all of us Oaklanders are taking it pretty hard. I did not lose anyone directly, only friends of friends, but, I will not soon forget the sheer terror that day of not knowing if any of my friends had gone to that party or not. I was calling people

It just so happens that this particular tragedy brings to the forefront the needs of artists/activists. The over-arching story here is that there needs to be more affordable housing for everyone, and there’s no disagreement on that.

I don’t think anyone is saying that they should be ‘automatically taken care of’. With housing and rental cost of everything in the bay, there are few ways (in my understanding) to have events like this without have a ton of money. Few activists and artists, especially in this scene, have that kind of money.

This is tragic on so many levels, but I know there are other warehouses in the bay that do take steps to keep tenants and artist studios as safe as possible. In my understanding, Derrick Almena was not that - ignored warning after warning.

While we may not have any hard proof (YET), there is a 0% chance Steve Bannon has never said nigger.

If you’re carrying enough water weight to produce tears, you’re too bloated for the runway fam.

This episode hasn’t even been out for 24hrs and you put a spoiler in the headline of your article. Was gonna watch tonight. Dammit.
