Up top is the M135i xDrive, which has a 2.0-liter turbo four putting out 302 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. BMW says it’ll do zero to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds.
What he said. I’m not going to pull my winter coat on and off every time I enter and exit the car, I’ll just unzip and belt up. So the car temperature reflects my changing state of dress.
Carbon fiber roof? Looks to me like we’ve got ourselves a Honda Civic Type RA here.
At least for a while, there were individual cars that were and were not CARB. On my Mazda3 purchased in Pennsylvania, the CARB label was present and it added an extra O2 sensor that was not on the fairly common non-CARB cars. Really messed things up for me when exhaust install time rolled around.
If you’re putting half cash into your car purchases, you’re probably not getting the best prices. At least, not in the US where you really need to be financing 75-80% and more than $10k for both rates and base pricing to be competitive.
Hall is my wife’s uncle. Gonna go see him at HoagieNation at the end of the month. Should be fun.
My RS was shipped over to a sister dealership in MD (where I bought it) after it sat on the lot in FL near a retirement community for a few months. Nobody down there wants an expensive AWD hot hatch, much less the boy racer variety.
I have one simple question. If garage space is not an issue, is it better to buy one of these or TWO cars (sport and practical) for the same price instead?
My RS paperwork puts the HG cost in the $1600 ballpark paid out to the dealer for the job and parts, IIRC. That’s assuming you don’t need an entire cylinder head. That recall hurt.
While this is technically true, the number is zero. If you extrapolate it to compensate for Volvo’s small volumes you get... zero. Which is likely not correct, but then we need a standard deviation to make guesses. Which you could probably derive from other countries.
You mean something like, oh I don’t know, maybe
If it’s in warranty, warranty repair. If it’s out of warranty or you tuned it, well them’s the breaks ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Used prices are less sensitive to all of this than you might expect. In my area, resale values for the RS are comparable to or slightly better than the comparable STI which is widely regarded as one of the resale value kings.
All those wonderful blues, and my Focus gets left out in the cold??
Ugh, another one of these miserably hideous “coupe” design SUVs. It wasn’t enough that we’re tortured by the sight of the Model X, GLC, X6, and other stupidly sloped mega CUVs. Now even Lambo has come to take their crossover vengeance on our eyes.
I’ve heard through the grapevine that there are several Veyrons out there north of 100K miles on the clock. Kudos to their ludicrously rich owners for getting use out of their cars.
Is Tom good enough to find one for sale ... at MSRP?
My dad owned a later one of these for a long time, until it threw a rod far too early. Every car since has been something of a disappointment to him. So I have to ask - what modernish car captures that same smoothness and total disconnection from the wheels? Maybe some kind of CPO Lexus?
Isn’t it obvious? Just integrate Apple’s Face ID directly into the car door. Just look at your car and it opens!
