@Ice27828: Agreed! This is actually the third time they've helped me upgrade to more space - the /edu & /free offers I found from them too :D Thanks !!

@squash999: As firestorm points out, there are legal concerns. Look at Tannenbaum et al, for example, who have been sued by the RIAA for several hundred thousands of dollars for sharing a few random MP3s.

@Seasonone: A few comments about your post

@battra92: I forget where, but an article I read about this idea (don't think the article mentioned Blockbuster specifically) said that the kiosk would write the movie onto the renter's SD card.... If the renter doesn't bring one, they can buy one for a small additional fee...

For those of us too lazy to follow links: From the MSN site:

I bet this is a deal with the airlines.... You show up to the airport with your nifty neat new separable carry-on bag. Your checking in & the ticket agent tells you "That'll be an extra $100 per carry-on sir." "But I only have one," you say. "No Sir, you have three stuck together, that's a complimentary one plus

Here are a few ideas, some mentioned before, some not...

@grellanl: Don't know if they're going to change it, but the way it is now, you can only stream music to one device at a time. So if you're rocking out on your phone & someone starts using the radio back home, the phone will pause & the radio at home will kick in.

OK, 8-tracks I understand... But 3.5 floppies? Seriously?!? They're not that old yet are they? I just stopped using them like 5 or 6 years ago in favor of USB key drives. And they just stopped making them like 2 years ago.

Out of curiosity.... Has anyone tried any of these with an alumni email? I still have an active @school.edu account, but the IT dept may catch on that I've graduated & shut it down. Just wondering if @alum.school.edu would still work since it ends in .edu, or if its common for places to have a filter for the word

I'm not a gamer, so I can't speak of XBox, but especially after a (concept?) pic from CNet's CES coverage, I'm wondering why they changed the name from the orginal Windows Media Center. Watch TV, check. Watch movies, check, pictures & MP3s, check. Netflix, Hulu, other online services, all checks. All it needs is

Not to steal the thread, but... on a related question...

@adam.jones1: I'm assuming you mean lent just once to the same person - not lent once period. Since you seem to have experience... is it once per email, or once to a specific device/account?

This might be a stupid comment but... For those who didn't feature Earth, how do we know for sure the planets have "Earth-like" gravity?

@morphoyle: I had a metal tin too :D I used it to keep a CD-R on to which I had burnt several presentations for different classes I was giving in a short time frame. I got a few comments when I pulled it out to load my Computer Science presentation....

The new setup was a success... until the new office intern set up the office christmas decorations... Now any email sent from a computer in line of sight of the tree loads www.nsfw.com every 5-minutes....

I'll give this a try next time I'm in an appropriate wifi network.

@veronykah: You just made mine worse... rubbing it in that your at a beach while I've got like a foot of snow outside my window... NOT FAIR!

@Digo: a decade from now the article will read "Placebo Inc's miracle pill has cured EVERYTHING — except for diabetic pandemic now effecting 72% of the world population..."

Don't forget about Spotify. I haven't found many songs it doesn't have that I want to listen to... And you can locally cache up to 3,333 songs per device so if you're connection drops out...
