Battlestar ‘80 was Star Wars meets CHiPs. It was practically a licence to print money!
One of the few articles I’ve ever read about an early Marvel creation without Stan’s name assumed first.
Ellis’s run on Thunderbolts had a similar tone. Even though he acts like he hates everything I think he truly loves comics.
Wondering how much of it is work he sold vs work Marvel kept from him/stole?
It’s like they can’t just write & draw good stories anymore.
She consistently had a great power that could be deployed in a science-y way, was frequntly a go-to heavy hitter in a team dynamic & was funny & smart. Worthy of the Marvel family name.
So figures of the Wookiee family from the Star Wars Holiday Special but none of bar keep & shaved wookiee missing link Bea Arthur? RIP OFF
The Adventures of Indiana Jones in the Parallel Universe. Not that I am complaining because I am not. ☺
This is how you do it. Write (sometimes borderline) decent characterization, keep plots consistent, embrace the goofiness but especially the goofy costumes. Swoon.
I am a die hard Whedon fan & I thought the movie wasn’t very good. Borderline terrible.
But why is it that his films make money? He is a horrible person who makes horrible films. How does that work? Are dudes really that douchy that they’ll continue to pay for his sh!t?
Jesus Christ. Between this, all of the ads, the film boosting &/or removal of potentially disagreeable content (likely for commerce sake) I hope Kinja is making enough money to insulate itself & allow for better journalism again. Otherwise I will go out of my way to avoid purchasing all of the products & ads featured…

Hawkeye is what I miss in the Marvel books. A nice guy, maybe a little dumb but not clueless, who is always willing to be the last nice guys standing. What the Spider-Man books used to be.
Star Wars would be much improved by stripping down to the same kind of simplicity.
Argh. I wish you people would get off this Iron Man 3 kick. It was horrible! RDJ found an old Lethal Weapon script, removed all of the “I’m getting too old for this shit” lines and went back home to phone it in.
Even the snow is an asshole in Boston.
Love Joss Whedon. Didn’t care for Avengers 2. At all. Can’t wait until there is enough distance for him from it to hear the whole backstory on it.
Crossed off the list. It squandered it’s opportunity many times over & now they want us to pretend that, on final assessment, the show was wildly uneven & mostly sucked. Back of the line, He-Hoes.
You’re kidding, right?
