Eh, we’ve had two references to the Valeyard in New Who and I’m still waiting for Michael Jayston to turn up...

“So, do you want to tell me where you got a mobile phone from and how you were able to use it while being restrained and in a spacesuit?”

You left Into The Spiderverse off the Good Nicholas Cage Movie list. And also bafflingly had two other movies on it, but that’s neither here nor there.

If you will forgive a self-indulgent plug, if you’re interested in Big Finish then:

For anyone interested in what I think of Nemesis. And indeed every other Star Trek movie

And yet it’s the second-best TNG movie!

Fuck you, bagpipes are awesome.

That’s fair, Glover is certainly no Billy Dee. But then, who is?

I think it would have been much better received if it had been “Lando: A Star Wars Story”. Solo is a minor but reasonably entertaining heist movie and very little else but for a character with the cultural gravity of someone like Han Solo it just seems - or perhaps more accurately feels - entirely inadequate. I think

Late, but if anyone’s interested...

FOR FUCKING ONCE protagonists who are just decent people who are intelligent and good at what they do and don’t have closets full of dark secrets.

Calcium is, in any case, an element not a mineral.

*taps foot, points towards It Takes You Away and Demons Of The Punjab*

I’m sorry, did you not see any of David Tennant’s episodes?

Honestly I though this was pretty great. The twist isn’t really written as “OMG GUESS WHATS!!!?!?!?!”, that’s mostly just a feature of the predictably abysmal marketing campaign that appears to have been put together by someone who either hasn’t seen the film (as distinct from the book) or simply didn’t understand it.

“the Terminator franchise is the poster child for diminishing creative returns”

The correct answer is “Airplane!”

Someone who works in a real estate office but dreams of being a novelist? It’s not that obscure...

It’s not a lake.
