It may not be paranoia - going by how Davies talks about the press in The Writer's Tale, it could simply be that they knew a paper had got hold of some details and the BBC chose to them first so as to better control the narrative rather than having some hack from The Sun or whatever ruin things. It's regarded as

Revealing Simm is one thing, but you also could have used that as a slight-of-hand to keep the Mondasian Cybermen under wraps. Who I simply loved seeing here. I was very disappointed to see the Cybusmen in the trailer for next week though. Ah well.

Not just. The BBC's site is much harder to get round with VPN than a lot of commercial TV sites.

There are now at least three explanations for the Sixth Doctor's regeneration - the PDA Spiral Scratch, the seven-murdered-six from the Virgin NA's, and The Last Adventure with Big Finish. Yes I wish I'd mentioned that "they made it a desert and called it peace". That's such a beautifully evocative phrase, two millenia old, and absolutely still relevant today (given the desert wars and all that). An absolutely pitch-perfect example of what Rona Monroe can bring to the table.

At least they got a good gag out of that one!

Bill is just straight-up brilliant (no pun intended), and yes, this was another stand-out episode for her.

As would I!

"if the light-eaters wanted to eat all the light and snuff out the sun, why was it bothered by concentrated sun-light?"

No, though I wouldn't rule out an explanation cropping up in the next couple of episodes. Otherwise it's a really strange bit of plotting.
