Ferrari left him in the garage thinking their time was sufficient. Leclerc ended up getting kicked out of Q1 by Vettel when he improved on his time. I think the Ferrari justification was that they wanted to save tires or something. I think a monkey is running Ferrari strategy currently..maybe a goldfish.

I feel like I am being pedantic but as others have pointed out the photo is the Mazda factory in Hofu and the cars being assembled are Mazda6s

This may seem pedantic but I think in the North American market the Mazda Skyactiv-G engines are 13:1. Also, I think it uses variable valve timing to allow the engine to run on a modified Atkinson cycle where the intake valves stay open longer and the effective compression ratio is lower unless you use full throttle.
