The progression from Game Boy to Game Boy was pretty easy to follow though, and the naming conventions were such that you could tell what made each system unique. Plus hardware capability was changing rapidly enough that you could easily tell which system was most recent.

PS4s are only region locked for DLC - and I think you can still buy dlc from another country, it just has to be the same region as the game? So you just have to buy gift cards, I think?
