Fiona Fullerton, the actress who plays Alice, was only 16 when the film came out. A little old for the role, perhaps, but it’s hard to get an actual 7-year-old to pull off the subtleties of the character (much less shoot an entire film where she’s the main character while working around child labor laws).
I suspect that this is just a clever viral marketing ad campaign for Temptations cat treats.

Just to clarify, these aren’t card tricks; this is juggling with pieces of cardboard. And what makes a good juggler is an interesting personality behind the manipulation.
I’m sorry, but this isn’t magic. It’s just practical special effects. You need a story to make it into a magical experience.
Curiously, when I’m under the influence of nitrous oxide (laughing gas) while at the dentist’s, I become consciously aware of this “time slice” phenomenon.
