Right said, Fred. Agree 100%.
Yes. I know. Leaving the stewards aside, it is well know that the vast majority of “experts” are Brits, and have a crazy bias in favor of Lewis.
Rules say that in an overtake situation, a driver has to leave room when the opposing car is substantially alongside, which is defined as a front wing’s length. Nico was more substantially alongside here, and in Suzuka, and Canada. Lewis didn’t leave room in any of these instances.
In racing, no two situations are ever the same. But the fact still remains that Lewis has pulled a lot of dick moves, and now Nico is giving it back to him. This is fine with me, BTW. I don’t love it, but I get the fact when the championship is in play, drivers and teams will do whatever they can get away with.
Probably because our economy and emissions standards are so strict that they’re running up against what’s technically possible—everyone is cheating somewhere.
Out of fear for my life from enviro fanatics and SJW’s, I have been quietly wondering if perhaps our emission standards are impractically strict.
Yes. It was Nico’s fault. But it wasn’t done on purpose. Rather, a standard and frequently used move to block an outside overtake was botched due to a brake failure.
The days of Lewis deliberately driving Nico off the track are over. Nico is still WDC. He miscalculated, got a penalty, but still, he won the point.
It would not be Lewiss corner unless he was completely ahead of Nico, which he wasn’t. They were virtually side by side.
He couldn’t mate. He had a BBW failure and understeer. His hands were turned, but the car was going straight. To turn harder would be to fishtail (into Lewis).
I actually know a lot about how professional drivers think. My dad was one.
Lewis is going to think twice from now on, that’s how. And Nico is still leading the WDC.
True what you say. But so what? Nico is upping his game, and giving Lewis a taste of his own medicine, and he’s having real trouble with it. That’s the state of play.
Softs last longer, idiot. Nico’s tires we’re gone.
I think you’re confusing the two. Lewis is the whiner.
Since when is a driver required to hold to the racing line? LOL.
