I laughed a lot harder than I thought I would at this. Nothing will top the first 3 seasons for pure comedic gold, but this was pretty enjoyable. The animation was rad too.

I actually found this to be one of the best episodes of the past few years. I know that's not saying much, but it was littered with small, smart jokes that all seemed to land, rather than going for repetition or the "loud=funny" framework that latter-day Simpsons seems to follow all too often. I found the retarded fish hilarious. I am also an asshole. Either way, this was my favourite episode of the entire season.Let's just hope they can end it on an equally high note.

Much, much better than last year's episode for sure. So far both episodes this season have been great, so I'm looking forward to seeing if they can keep up the momentum.

Peter gleefully yelling "BIRD" at David Letterman really did make the episode for me, so I know exactly what you mean. In any other show that just wouldn't be funny, but due to Macfarlane's voice work, it becomes comedy gold.

Just stopping by to point out that the MCD tribute card is because he did a voice in the episode. Also, I laughed at this episode quite a bit, and for me it got the most laughs out of all the shows tonight. Solid B+ from me. That is all.
