Two words for Trump: Indira Gandhi.

I KNOW. The name was poorly translated into Donner. And ready for this? Its Blixem, not Blitzen - well, that’s a close-sounding approximation so I can forgive that. But Dunder?
What?!
Ok because you named some reindeer...... Today I just learned that one of the reindeer’s name isn’t actually Donner. Its Dunder. Mind. BLOWN.
He certainly seems like he enjoys being the victim. That may or may not be his fault being raised in that family. TBH it seems like Chyna is the best thing that ever happened to him.
When are we going to FINALLY blame Rob for these relationships ending? First him and Adrienne Bailon (she’s called a whore & it was claimed she cheated on him) , Rita Ora (she’s called a whore & it was claimed she cheated on him), and now Blac Chyna (she hasn’t been called a whore yet but was accused of cheating). I…
She discussed physically assaulting him, the way she did with her previous bf (Tyga). Do not defend that piece of crap.
Man tells gf she is fat and has to get off the couch and in shape again within a year or he will drop her. You’d totally would feel the same about this guy being a good person all around, nothing wrong here, huh?
In the comics, Swinton’s character is a stereotypical “wise Asian” character, which many people find offensive. Rewriting that role as a white woman removes that, and creates a role for a woman. And then, they wrote a new Asian role and cast an Asian actor. No Asian actors lost work, a role for a woman was created, a…
That house Asian thing is particularly bullshit when Cho has put herself out there as a critic of Swinton getting the role. It’s like, “I speak for Asians when I say we’re upset at you.” “Can you explain why you think people are upset about this thing, so I can understand.” “This bitch thinks I speak for Asians, fuck…
I’m guessing that Cho doesn’t understand why a lot of people are pissed at her. It has nothing to do with her feelings that Asian actors should play Asian roles, which is completely valid. Everyone’s pissed because she took what was supposed to be a private conversation, twisted it into the worst possible…
I don’t have a problem with blasting someone publicly if what you’re saying is honest, but MC’s whole “can you tell them...” thing never happened, and the “I have an Asian friend” was in the context of MC telling her to use her platform to produce Asian content and TS describing an upcoming project that does just…
And the whole “I have an Asian friend” thing did not come across at all. Cho specifically said she’d suggest producing something with Asian actors, to which Swinton responded that she was doing just that.
This stood out to me as well. I imagined TS had said something along the lines of, “why are people criticizing…
I hope everyone who posted histrionic comments about Tilda Swinton’s racism and privilege two fucking hours ago on the previous post goes back and deletes them now.
Granted, Margaret exploited the situation both for its comedic value and for its social import. Except that Tilda was being perfectly open and receptive to input, so Margaret is mostly being an asshole.
I’m Team Tilda here and am impressed that she sent you the full conversation when she obviously had done this privately to avoid stepping into something over her head.
Its this kind of thing that really fucks up the left and progress in general. In this instance, Tilda had a constructive conversation with her peer about how to address an issue, and then Cho takes it and warps it and makes it ugly.
Bottom line: Tilda is 55 already! Who knew? Lookin’ great.
I’m having difficulty understanding Margaret Cho’s perspective here. It sounds like Tilda was up front about the issues, expressed her desire to do something about it and sought advice from someone who is in a good position to provide it. And Cho’s responses were thoughtful and measured as well. Not sure what got lost…
now that i’ve read margaret and tilda’s conversation, i have to wonder if margaret did as well.
