Some people actually do need cookies to validate their actions. Instead of lamenting it, why not learn to be a baker?

So no, we don’t want allies like you. You aren’t one. You can’t be one. Because we don’t have time to coddle your fragile ego.
It’s honestly beyond me how on a feminist site women tell other women to shut up, or how women draw the conclusion that they should shut up. Yikes.
George Soros is no different than the Koch Brothers. I just agree with more of Soros’ causes.
Of course not
Who’s downplaying anything? I am not the problem you are looking for. You took my comment on a tangent.
Fuck this shit. We don’t have the God damn luxury of this “you aren’t doing it right” liberal mentality right now.
When protesting actually gets shit done, we’ll talk again.
Did you ask?
As a black woman... can I just say that we might need to take the self righteous down a notch. Sheesh. Are all of us also marching for other marginalized/disenfranchised/at risk groups?!? We are not the only ones! I can only image the reality of sex trafficking for poor Asian/Latin women. And that’s just the first…
I don’t trust most of the Women’s March participants to show up again. I don’t trust the resolve of their concern.
So protests only matter when you’re uncomfortable and/or under threat of violence? Someone downthread described this as a “woker-than-thou” contest, and she/he is exactly right.
And if they don’t what are you going to do? Pat yourself on the back for being right while the nation crumbles around you? You want results without investing in the process and instead disparage the process.
Kara is very suspicious of the motives of the others marchers -while her motives - and those of her POC buddies are always far above suspicion (because she marches out of anger) - the jovial feeling in the LA march on saturday raised her hackles - I mean white feminism right? they may have fought to give you the right…
This accomplishes nothing. Absolutely nothing. You can’t want people to fight with you, then declare that their efforts don’t satisfy you because you don’t trust them. Your attitude fucking sucks.
This seems needlessly divisive. Your response to first-time marchers is to berate them for not having spent their lives as dedicated activists instead of encouraging them to come out to other events and to involve themselves in other struggles against injustice? Your response to leftists who, living in a dark-blue…
Sounds like a case of ‘I’m more liberal than you, ya poser.’
This is my problem with protests. It’s so incredibly hard to imagine these people actually getting motivated next time when it really matters. If they were contacting congresspeople, getting involved in local politics, etcetera, they’d be an unstoppable force. But ... they’re not. They have no ability to stick it out.
It’s not official until People magazine does a Best [& Worst] Dressed double issue on it.
You’re a whack job. Thanks for reminding me why I don’t comment on this site anymore.
