I wish you would update the title to reflect the answer is no. If the press makes one mistake, Trump will repeat it a million times to cancel out a multitude of his lies.

Can the article title be updated now what we know it wasn’t him? I find leading question titles incredibly misleading when the answer is anything but “yes” or “most likely,” and don’t like the sites I read stooping to the lows of fake news sites.

I 100% heard the sentence, but it didn’t sound like Ryan’s voice.

But when you just mention gender and race when it’s not relevant, it seems problematic. It would be true if they were black men.

Replying to myself because I don’t know how to edit from an hour ago. The original clip has now been replaced with a longer clip that does indeed play the phrase in question so you can disregard my earlier comment. But it really doesn’t sound like Ryan and he didn’t seem to be wearing a portable mic which is the only

I had it on in the background while I was at the computer and heard it clearly. I backed up the DVR, and heard it again. The anchor’s smirk when they go back to the studio confirms that it was there. It just wasn’t Ryan.

i kind of wish it was him saying that. it would be good entertainment value for a few weeks. i don’t think it truly was him. he does have better stage management skills than that.

Hmm, maybe it was a CNN person? Would make sense they’d think this press converence was a waste of time when nothing new was learned.

It’s not Ryan. There is no mic outside of the room (he left by the time someone said that).

It wasn’t him. There wasn’t an active mic since he had already left the room. It doesn’t even sound like him so I have no idea how people could think it was him saying it.

Ah, but his approval rating among Republicans is still strong, and that’s what matters to congressional Repubs, particularly since most of them are in safely gerrymandered districts. They’re far more concerned about challenges from the right than from the left, and Trump so far is still wildly popular with Republican

Someone definitely says it. Can’t tell if it’s Ryan. Heck it could have been a reporter as he’s certainly wasting their time. Then again, his face while being asked that question didn’t exactly seem like he was feeling super patient.

In my entirely unprofessional opinion, Ryan’s voice is a bit throaty on low notes and his R’s are pronounced. The voice sounds older and smoother.

I can’t tell.

Doesn’t sound like him.

1. You can’t hear anyone say “Waste of my F—-ing time” in the clip you posted. 2. When you do hear the clip it clearly sounds like the CNN reporter at the press conference saying it and not Paul Ryan, who was well away from the podium. What kind of journalism is this?

“Politics-As-Sports” is one of the worst developments of the modern era and this kind of crap feeds right into it.

I’ve listened to that a few times now and I don’t hear anyone say that. I’m sure that was in his head — probably in the heads of everyone in the room — but I didn’t hear it and as he left the podium his mouth was closed. Firmly, impatiently closed, to be sure.

Can you please stop with this? This is the second time now you’ve asked such a thing.

Ha!! We lost the high-ground long ago. It is now impossible for anyone to take the high ground and expect any sort of support, doesn’t matter which “side” you are.
