I haven’t met a self-professed Vegan yet who hasn’t been a sanctimonious, overbearing pain in the ass. Maybe that’s it.

I was wondering if someone was going to bring this up. I am not sure that any of her “rights” are being violated as she ISN’T a citizen of that nation. It sucks but she is the one asking to be invited in. She has no “right” to be let in.

It’s not against vegans in general. It’s against self-righteous people of privilege who think their personal choices somehow make them better people and won’t shut up about showing off how fabulous they are.

US citizenship depends on an immigrant’s acceptance of the fundamental values of the US, a residency period, and passage of the citizenship test. It’s fundamentally different in Switzerland, where citizenship depends on the Swiss of a particular community accepting the immigrant.

No, I live in the US (hence the reference to US politics). People here are entitled to think I’m not one of them / you and to tell me so, but the difference between me and this poor woman is that my citizenship is not dependent on their opinions.

Good point. Don’t move to Switzerland and try to overturn the local traditions.

At the end of the day, she’s still free to express herself, just like they’re free to express how annoying they find her by refusing her citizenship.

I also feel like the more he talks, the more he provokes terrorist attacks and potential nuclear war.

She wants to change things about a country she is not a citizen of instead of integrating into it, and she is surprised they refuse her application?

I don’t have a Facebook, or any other social media. Those sort of blind echo chambers are how we got to this point.

This! Right here!!!! I’d love a female president more than anything, but I really think the only way to pull enough mindless uneducated people in the right direction is by offering them Mitt Romney’s anti-matter. I also like his policies, so I guess that’s okay too.

The name alone is going to keep Kamala off the ticket.

Because this isn’t the first time in American history journalism has been targeted by the government? And because there are way too many people who not only agree with him, but think he’s not targeting enough of the media?

It’s not unusual to have a relative unknown attain national office.

Had anyone outside of Arkansas heard of Bill Clinton when George Bush was inaugurated in 1989? Politics runs fast at times.

Tell that to Gawker.

Is BuzzFeed a news organization? I thought they’re just something I choose “Hide All From” on facebook to avoid seeing clickbait top 25 lists.

except that report came from a former MI6 agent (supposedly) who did oppo research on Trump months ago on behalf of the DNC (i.e paid) that contained all the bullshit you’re reading about today. If the story was true, why wasn’t the dossier released earlier during the primaries or during the general election? And why

This may not be the most popular opinion, but here goes:

Well apparently it’s open season on calling things Nazi Germany, so go ahead although it appears to have lost all meaning.
