People spend $18 for a 2 hour movie...why is $18 for a 3 hour game expensive?

I think it’s completely fine to say “hmm it’s a short game, maybe I won’t spend $18 on it til it’s on sale.” That’s a completely fine reaction to have BEFORE you spend that money. But to say “man I really enjoyed it but it’s short, I think I should get a refund” is dumb as fuck.

I think some people get too focused on how long it takes to play a game. If its an enjoyable, well-polished experience, then I think it can be forgiven if the title isn’t as long as you’d have hoped. After all, all movies cost the same amount on opening day, regardless of how long they keep you in the theater.
