If you don’t wear a seat-belt while riding in an aluminum tube traveling through the atmosphere at 550MPH, you are f’ing stupid.

I disagree. When PED’s become the accepted norm, then it becomes the price of entry into pro sports. Anyone who already has the natural skills and drive to compete at a pro level, must take PED’s to clear that artificially high bar. With all of the health problems created by many PED’s, that is a sad state of affairs.
Nothing Lance Armstrong accomplished counts in my book. If he was doped, all of his records and feats are bullshit.
Watch the video again. He positions the boat ahead and to the left of the whale, CLEARLY within 400 yards, and whales don’t swim in a straight line. It would be a useless rule if the operator could just park 100 yards away from where the whale just surfaced, and claim the whale changed direction.
“In 2011, NOAA Fisheries Service adopted new regulations under the Marine Mammal Protection Act and Endangered Species Act to protect all whales in inland waters. Be Whale Wise and Follow the Law:
“...almost eats the boat?” What a stupid headline. The whale is a baleen feeder, and eats small fish, plankton and krill. Couldn’t swallow that boat if it wanted to. The spotting boat operator would have paid a serious fine for being in the path of that whale here in the US.
I had an older S500 for a few months, and there was ALWAYS something wrong with that car. Two former Mercedes factory mechs said the same thing: after about 1990, Mercedes decided to cut costs by taking advantage of two factors. First, most car buyers in that market value style and status over reliability. Second,…
Never heard of this clown before today. Could not care less that he was banned from Twitter for being an asshole. :-)
Why should I have a separate app for that? After putting off the Messenger app for a long time, I finally installed it, and then uninstalled after two days...too much spam and nonsense.
Correct. It’s a criminal case.
The burden to prove consent is on Mr. West.
I assume they got them from Porsche, but please provide the correct figures if you have them...
Car and Driver’s performance analysis of the Panamera.
From an engineering perspective, the spoiler is mostly for the marketing department. It generates only 15 pounds of down-force at 155 MPH; a speed that few Panamera drivers will ever see, and benefits that only a professional driver might notice. The weight of the spoiler and deployment system easily exceeds that…
No, by that logic it means to kill someone with electricity. The “cution” suffix has several meaning and uses.
I had a similar experience; about half of my files just disappeared after the W10 upgrade. Evidently they were still there, but invisible.
The same tools in the hands of the average Yosemite tourist, would have yielded very marginal results.
Again...missing the point of the quote. All of that incredible equipment - while necessary - didn’t choose the subject, compose the image, select the vantage point, or wait for the clouds or lighting to be just right. The real artistry was within Ansel Adams.
But it wasn’t a comparison at all. Adams’ point was that the true artistry was within the artist, and not so much in the equipment they used. The equipment has to do the job - like an artist’s paintbush - but without the artists talent, vision and skill...it’s just a paintbrush.
Exactly. Why are there seven heavily armed soldiers standing by for a simple torch handoff?
