Great story man. We were on a mountain cruise with half a dozen Miatas, and our group mysteriously grew by 3. At the next pull-off, our now-9-strong group mingled and chatted like we were old friends. Turns out the other 3 dudes were just on a group cruise, saw us, and decided to just tag along. No one was playing Flo…
I remember meeting Jordan in the paddock a few years back when I was working with a LMPC team. He’s an absolute hoot, and seemed to just radiate smiles to those around him. Oh, and one hell of a driver.
Dig up their performance from Austin City Limits as well, it’s absolutely awesome.
Well yes, but my point remains the same. I love my house, my neighborhood, and my lifestyle. If I had $100m, damn skippy there’d be a McLaren F1 parked in my little 2 car garage.
Respectfully disagree. I live in a quiet middle class non-HOA neighborhood, $250-300k houses, nothing fancy at all. One of my neighbors has the smaller 1-car-garage model house, maybe 1300sq/ft (minus garage) on a quarter acre. Parked in the driveway is a 10 year old Dakota with faded red paint and filthy wheels.
Literally every day on my commute.
I use cruise control every single day commuting to work in my 5MT. What’s not to understand? Get to highway speed, Set the cruise, crank the tunes.
I use this mount on my Miata, it’s essentially perfect. Nice and solid, never moves:

Read the reviews and enjoy a solid half hour of laughing.

I can absolutely and completely forgive the NASCAR looks when you close your eyes and listen to those things. Best sounding engines on the planet, IMHO.
Track enough and you’ll crack enough windshields to either stop caring or go Lexan.
Oh look, a company that actually gives a crap! Kudos, Forgestar.
He’s a really good guy, met him at VIR a few years ago while crewing for him.
Yes, but I didn’t use it because I had carried on a bottle of extremely good scotch.
Times have changed, Joe. DC to Chicago is pure enjoyment, Chicago to LA is reeeeeeeelaxing. Lots of space to roam about, every inch of the train was spotless, GREAT lounge cars, power outlets everywhere, and the whole thing rides like it’s on a metronome-ticking pillow of love. We were doing 90+ mph through Colorado…
Roomette is the ONLY way to do it. My room attendant was the bomb, the showers were hot and plentiful, the food was exceptional (and included in the cost), etc etc... DC to LA is ~3 1/2 days each way and I’d do it again and again.
I read a handful of books, played through a ton of old NES/SNES video games on my laptop via. a USB PS2 controller, stared out the window, made new friends, napped, and ate like a king. I didn’t have a cell phone and there was no wifi, and I couldn’t have enjoyed it any more.
I’ve crossed the US on Amtrak many times and would do it again in a heartbeat. It’s pleasant in every way I can think of.
The shop in the background has me almost certain it’s Wilzig’s.
