I’ve had track cars, low riders, things that were loud, stickered, striped, and exciting. I modify everything and I have a die-hard love for the sound of a Borla. I autocross, I track, I’ve LeMons’d/Chumped, and I’m a complete and utter petrolhead.

Can someone PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE post this without the horrible non-V8-generated music?!?!?!
I’ve got three inline 4’s, so I can smash them all together into a V12. Woot! Screw that V10 weaksauce!
Not mentioned, the replacement car isn’t “free”, it’s just not costing Steve anything. His insurance will settle with the Ford driver’s insurance, and Mazda will get their cut from that. It’s still nice to see that SCSM doesn’t have to shell out anything though.
I live at the beach, top speed limit here is 35, most roads are 25. If I’m just puttering around to the store and back, I’ll go shorts and tee shirt, shoes mandatory (no sandals) and full face helmet mandatory (admittedly it’s a road racing SA2010, not M2010).
Well, in all fairness, I was in on that one... In the middle of the night, we put a friend’s track car on go-jacks and quietly pushed it onto the front straightaway just past pit straight (there were quite a few of us pushing). When he woke up and flipped out because his car was gone, called security (who was in on…
And in my few short years of HPDE/AutoX experience, I’ve seen ALL of these in action. People suck.
I say nice price. I sold my 2001 525i last year for $7,500 with 81k on it. Damn thing was practically mint inside and out and I’d taken immaculate care of it. New owner was super excited to see such a low mileage example.
I sold my ‘90 Miata preceeding the divorce, and donated the cash to my 2 y/o (at the time) son’s savings account (which I managed). Ex didn’t see a penny of it.
You do realize this is a car-centric website, right?
I’m planning to pick up a wrecked Miata when he’s 12 or 13 and have him help me assemble HIS Exocet to learn to drive in when he turns 15. He’s 4 now and can already drive 6MT w/clutch on Assetto Corsa, so I think he’s gonna be just fine.
Dale’s crew was first on the scene and they all had radios on, so that was a call to the crew not to Dale.
It’s a double edged sword. There’s no doubting the cars are safer, much MUCH safer than ever before. They need to do something about the super packs though because this WILL keep happening.
Gods man, put a NSFW warning on that!
Not anymore, you recommended it!
People spout the barefoot thing to me all the time because I exclusively drive barefoot when possible (which is 99.9% of the time). Strangely enough, I’ve never been pulled over for it.
That doesn’t work when you back in with a convertible.
I’ve been curious about my 1990 Miata for a couple of years now. FL keeps offering for me to renew the title/registration on it, and I sold it four years ago. I don’t think the new owner ever titled it!
The extra one is for the oversized balls it requires to drive this thing.
Top Gear would’ve exploded.
