he is though, like the way he tackled the "black lives matter" (""s intentional) arc was pretty shameful. it's one thing for black writers to do respectability politics and another for a white character to make a black character known for his outspokenness to apologise for it to a white man.

"Diversity" is such a lazy scapegoat. there's obviously a wider market out there Marvel aren't doing enough to capture. Granted a lot of women & minorities don't have as much disposable cash, but at one point comics used to be a cheap hobby. HOpefully digital distribution & cheaper TPBs will help with this.
