I get that Jackie O was very fashionable, and that as First Lady she was big on art, culture, and history. But did she really stand for anything? She put an emphasis on her husband and family - but her husband did not put an emphasis on her or their family, as he was a known philanderer. Every woman makes her own

I’m pretty sure that United Health Care Oxford uses a cover sheet that has just my name and address, and then any personal information is on subsequent sheets. Using cover sheets wastes paper, but it protects the information.

Not to make light of this situation (but this is all I can do now-a-days or my brain will explode)... But maybe the customer just shouldn’t have hired him as a skydiving instructor considering he later “died in a skydiving accident,” regardless of his sexual orientation.

I meet people I am attracted to all the time - yet I’m still able to put that aside to do my god-damned job. This guy is a bad human being and is also bad at his job for not knowing how to set appropriate boundaries.

I’m a criminal defense attorney in NY and know lots of cops from work and personally know a few. Many, if not most, of the cops I know would love to receive more training. None of them want to wound or kill people. But budgets limit the amount of funding that goes towards training.

Another story I’ve heard which goes

I once had a guy sitting across from me on the MetroNorth eating a squid salad.

I love me some squid salad - but not on the damn train!

Drinks in closed containers, that don’t smell, and do not make noise (ie, no slurping).

Just a little clarity on NY law which the article doesn’t mention - the 90 day notice of claim requirement applies to any type of lawsuit against any government entity in NY. It’s not just for sexual abuse claims.

Not sure if this article doesn’t address it or it wasn’t a reason for the fed court to affirm the state court’s decision... but another issue with this is that Dassey’s court-appointed attorney Kachinsky provided ineffective assistance of counsel and basically set Dassey up to confess to police. Kachinsky was

Is he the only Latino in the array? That sh*t is unconstitutional.

The linked article said this was an aggravated robbery. I don’t know what the laws are in Missouri, but in NY robbery is considered a violent crime and can be as serious as a class B felony (A felonies are most serious, E felonies less serious). If a weapon was used or if there’s injury to the victim, and if the

I practice in NY - no attorney here turns off their cell phone.

My previous iPhone had issues with the button on the side which puts it in vibrate mode. I’d flip the button, but sometimes it wouldn’t go on vibrate - prob some fuzz stuck in there or a wiring problem.

I practice criminal defense in and around NYC - they are incredibly harsh on DWAI/DWIs, especially felonies and those involving injuries to people. Someone charged with aggravated vehicular homicide will NOT walk.

Vocal Fry Festival.

From my understanding, people convicted of sexual assault tend to be repeat offenders regardless of if they’ve been convicted of the crime or not.

As someone who has represented dozens of people convicted of registrable sex offenses, your argument is on point.

I’m 35, never married, no kids, living in NYC. I think most people accept that I don’t have kids and that I will not have kids. They think it a result of me not finding someone to have children with.

Very happy that no one was arrested or prosecuted. But I think that’s the only thing to be happy about in this case.

A similar scenario came up this past summer in NYC. The first fear expressed was human trafficking.
