I believe they can’t actually, because in order to call Palpably Unfair, the act has be both intentional *and* illegal. And it’s unfortunately not actually illegal (yet).

I still say Civ III is the best of the bunch, before the games got just plain bloated with things (and a bit full of themselves to boot). I have yet to have as much fun with IV or V as I did (and still do) III. As the cherry on top, Civ III runs VERY well on laptops still even in the endgames where the turn processing

Haleakala gets no love. It belongs at the very least in the top half of the list if for no other reason that at the end of the day *you are still in Hawaii*, which is better than every single one of the other 49 states. There’s also something about “I just drove up a volcano today, what did you do?”. The minute you’re

I got those Aukeys a few months ago when Amazon made a mistake in pricing them in a combo with a waterproof smartphone bag (it was on here that I found it actually). I think it was $13 for the bag and the headphones together (came out to $8 for the headphones and $5 for the bag) . And even then, at that low low price,

GOOD: The super cheap Aukey bluetooth headphones work.

How about “You just violated your Terms of Use”? Maaaaaybe people should pay closer attention to the stuff they agree to when they start something.

Niantec themselves could (and did) ban users for their previous game, Ingress, for tapping into that sort of hidden stuff. The *only* app that Niantec kept in a gray area was fan-made IITC (a souped up version of Ingress Intel that didn’t access anything hidden, but did give extra map features on the user side), and

A batflip on a single? That might actually make me love Puig finally.

So... he was “asking for it”?

I see this, and then remember Scott Brayton’s crash in practice in 1996 and am reminded that “how bad” a crash “looks” really means nothing.

I came here to post on Wolfram Alpha. Wolfram Alpha has been around for years, and does other, far cooler stuff as well.

The game had, oddly, aged fairly well still. I’ve played it in DOSbox a few times in recent years. I still consider it the single greatest racing video game ever.

You pretty much described me. I’m a bit older than you, and yeah, the split happened at a bad time because instead of continuing to follow open wheel, or moving my fandom over to NASCAR, I just stopped following most all racing altogether. I tried following F1 briefly later, but that was during the Schumacher era and

As I said in another comment, it probably would take NASCAR making a huge mistake (which is not impossible by any stretch) to steer (hah!) some of the name, younger talent back to open wheel. Otherwise no, there isn’t a solution.

The only way to get eyeballs and butts back is to have the big-time names again. A scan of this 33-car field is... sad. Very sad.

At the time of the split, open wheel in America racing attracted many of the best drivers around the world. Huge names.

I could argue that without the CART/Indy split, open wheel racing was in position to completely deny NASCAR from taking a dominant place in American racing. The name sat the time in open wheel were very, very big.
