They’re running a contest at the moment for fans to make 2-3 minute songs and send them in, with the winner(s?) assigning commercial copyright to CDPR, which would be necessary for something like this. Perhaps it’s related?

If you had fun, your time wasn’t wasted - fun is the point of your expended time. HG can’t rewrite your past and turn your past fun into not-fun, only you can do that to yourself.

This is what I don’t get about the complaints about industry in particular. Credits are worthless, aside from a few expensive freighter upgrades they added recently there’s nothing to spend it on. So people are upset that they hit the credit cap in 12 hours now instead of 6? Truly a modern-day tragedy.

There’s a worrying lack of perspective on this in some of the subreddit comments too. There are people very bitter that their ships have been nerfed and now they have “years of hard work wasted”.

Still not available in my country.

A lot of restaurants do list allergens on every dish on the menu. That’s what the (V), (Ve), (GF), (N) etc symbols are on a lot of menus. You’d be the only person to have ever complained that they do it.

Just so I understand you correctly: you’re ranking a few seconds of extra startup time in your video game of choice as worse than exposing people who suffer from PSE to physical risk without present warning?

I never said it was a strong hand, just not a junk hand. I stand by that - there are no junk hands in heads up.

J4 is also considered to be an unplayable hand for the most part. Therefore it’s a junk hand.

I worked Texas Hold’em at a casino here in Australia an eternity ago, including some high stakes tournaments and cash games. I agree, I don’t see any sign of cheating here.

The apology reads as completely disingenuous to me, especially bolding CJ’s “I don’t agree with it” part but not the “sharing nudes without consent is fair game” part. They seem oblivious to the fact they have two problems, and their scumbag Discord admin was only one of them.

Sure, I understand. I’m not suggesting any ill intent on your part, I was just responding to how the original argument and response flowed. I realise it wasn’t clear in my reply, but that was meant to be a response to Priest of Maiden’s “it’s not a straw man” comment.

The article says this kind of analysis was already done with the same tools used by FIDE and no correlation was found. Evidently, even in the area of post-game analysis (where computational time is unlimited), this is not an agreed fact.

i think it is very reasonable to be very worried about cheating in chess, a game in which cheating is in fact a known large problem

That’s a straw man. Being worried about cheating and pulling out of matches based on suspicion with no evidence that someone might be cheating are two very different things. Magnus is being criticised for the latter, not the former.

He’s not as big as that number suggests though. 46% of his subs are gifted, which reflects the wealth of some of his followers rather than actual popularity. That’s in comparison to 5% for xQc.

There doesn’t seem to be anything here that shows that. This charts page just has current active players, you still have to go to the game page to see the all-time peak.

I imagine the EGS exclusivity hasn’t exactly helped sales either. I know I’d like to check it out, once the exclusivity expires.

Keep in mind, that statement is in the context of the claim that gamers are sick of the wool being pulled over their eyes by studios.

There’s more to NDA penalties than restorative damages. It also includes punitive damages as well as compensating legal fees. From watching a former coworker go through the process, you can definitely be hit for money even when there are no quantifiable losses (which includes anticipated future losses, as Conway
