It’s slated to be a TV series, not a movie, and you usually need a lot more than fun action to fill 10+ hours as opposed to 90 minutes.

The plot in Diablo sucks, though. Why would anyone want a TV series of it? The Diablo series strength was it’s incredibly satisfying gameplay and (at least with the 1st game), the atmosphere. Not the incredibly simplistic story (and downright terrible story by the 3rd game).

Game-based movies and shows don’t have a track record of success. They’re probably going to hedge the money they spend on this show, The Warcraft movie didn’t exactly pad anyone’s bank account.

Now, a Farscape relaunch is something I could get behind. Anything that could possibly get me more Chiana and D’Argo is a good thing. Of course, maybe Brian’s film career will take off after Happytime Murders and he won’t have time for television. Oh... nevermind.

Yay, I found a sane person!

I’m honestly as tired as the “John McCain was a terrible terrible person who no one should say nice things about” pieces as the “John McCain was last of a rare and noble breed of American statesmen” pieces. Dude died just yesterday, and in my universe, it’s still poor manners to interrupt other people’s mourning with

If what you say is true, it must not apply to Bruce Willis. All he does these days is show up.

It’s an interesting question, I think.

At this point, an X-Men 3 scenario is increasingly likely.

I’ve mentioned this before, but their handling of the situation is clearly a big red “fuck employees” sign for any potential new hires now.

This, 1000 stars.

To my thinking that’s the most likely scenario. They’ve replaced directors without a pause before, so the only reason I could think this would be different is if everyone on their short list said “no”.

I’m willing to bet real money that Disney has been desperately searching for a replacement director, and no one is willing to touch the project with a ten foot pole.

Obligatory.

As much as I selfishly want there to be a third movie and for it to be as good as the first one, I’d also really love to see this movie get made with all the actors just phoning it in.

So at which point in the production process does Disney pull its head out of its ass and resolve not to base the corporate decisions of the world’s biggest entertainment company on some pissant Twitter Trump cultist? Because they really need to move that part along.

Just a reminder that Mike Cernovich is a rapist!

They won’t pull the movie completely, even though that would make sense.  The MCU GotG are very much a James Gunn show.  They didn’t come across well in Infinity War and I shudder to think of what Vol. 3 will be without him.

I’m too lazy right now to look up and paste a gif of a treadmill, but imagine one here.
