It’s really odd, to me, that the EcoBoosts sound like complete ass. Even the 1st gen EB’s that are basically Duratec’s with turbos, sound soooooo bad. It’s weird because the Duratecs can sound really good with the right exhaust, I don’t know how throwing some turbos in the mix causes it to sound that much worse.

Ugh, I had one of those. Full throttle everywhere. So gutless and noisy.

Its direct descendant is my pick, the Chrysler 2.4. Noisy, unreliable, rough, gutless.

I test drove an older Focus with a 6mt and the 1.0EB, and it was sloooooooooow. But I found the engine super smooth in its power delivery. I really just think that engine needs a manual to make best use of it.

Odd. I have an ‘18 Escape with the 2.0EB and it’s been pretty decent engine. Aside from some odd idle shake, it’s been fairly smooth and quiet. The transmission has been shite though.

I bought a used MK7 GTI, and sold it a year later for about $1000 less than I paid for it, the MK7's hold their values quite well.

The interior wasn’t THAT small. It was a coupe, but I was able to shove 4 friends in my ‘95 with ease. The backseat was actually quite comfy, and the driver centric dash and console was pretty cool.

At that point, just buy the Mark VIII. They were far superior in basically every way.

I saw a 100K+ mile LX 5.0 for over $20K yesterday. I haven’t seen Impala prices recently, but I can’t imagine a mediocre one is under $10K these days. Also, I wouldn’t want to be in a C3 that’s under $10k. Heck, I don’t want to be in ANY Corvette that’s under $10k...

It’s pretty darn hard to find a decent 80's/90's car in this area that isn’t rusted to hell, beat to hell, or both. My opinion is starting looking south for something.

I’m a fan of Rob too, and I was super disappointed how much they reined him in. Don’t bring in a brash comic, and then cut him off at the knees. One of the reasons I didn’t like the first slate of episodes was because Rob was so awkward throughout. He never was able to find any groove, it was cringey at times.

I WANT to like this new series soooooo bad. I love Dax and Rob, and Boyd is a really good reviewer. I feel like they neutered Rob though...he’s hesitant and just sort of quiet. They need to let him loose.
