The SVO is not just a 4 cylinder Mustang, it’s like no other Fox with its myriad of upgrades and touches.

You can find a great base 996 for dirt cheap these days. Probably a bit to do with the IMS bearing, a bit being the first year of being water cooled, and a bit of the blob lights. Those options all in one are a unicorn though. You’d be hard pressed to find more than a couple for sale at one time across the country. Guy in my area had a clean one for sale, and we got so close to closing in on a deal, but he backed off at the last second because he thought he’d regret it too much.
