This is the best possible analysis of that trash ass movie lol. I really wonder if Netflix digs in a hat to pick which film they’ll make and another hat to choose the cast.

I see your Yellow sports car and raise you A Yellow wagon!

‘Sup (b)ra

known in design circle as the “Freudian clip”.

I’m with you. I typically love me some flat plane-y goodness but this needs more exhaust tuning.

This. I liked the first pics I saw of it, but that rear-end looks like the designers really just phoned it in. It just doesn’t flow as a piece of automotive sculpture like, say the Ford GT or NSX rear-ends.

I think you may be over-estimating the impact of a halo car overall and the impact of slightly juicing the already impressive numbers of top-tier Corvettes and the already verdant aftermarket for Vette performance.

I mean, you don’t even know what it is yet, or how much it’s going to cost...for all we know, it could be a $300k Buick.

It’ll be gone in two years.

Both of these are gorgeous and kudos to Porsche for giving us a flashback tribute.

Your point seems to be that the location is relevant. When he in fact has a rolling chassis of a Lotus with a fucking V10 engine in it that he did himself.

Just saying, making it electric neither lightens nor simplifies the car. And adding lightness only goes so far before you simply cannot go faster. I agree with that sentiment but if your goal simply cannot be reached on your current platform, then go bigger, then lighten.

Has anyone been able to get their hands on one of those Yamaha v10's? I mean have any LFAs been wrecked and the engine salvaged?

So it’s basically some unholy mashup of a Hennessy Venom and an Elise GT1 with the heart of an M5? Hell yes.

It looks like a primer and the article said the build isn’t done yet. So it would be a waste to paint/wrap it in a crazy color, modify the bodywork a bit, and then repaint it again.

My god would it be nice to have money for a toy like this... Other than that, this build is top notch. I’m looking forward to the follow-up piece!

I agree, but he did say this is his “testbed” until wind tunnel testing. That implies he’s planning to make aerodynamic updates. Those fender seams and bookshelf sized ramps onto the flares will hopefully be parts that are modified. Maybe the matte white paint is an easy temporary solution until the final mods are

Is this what love feels like? I think I’m in love.

Yikes...that’s a lot of moving parts per piston. Call me old fashioned, but I’ll stick with my fixed compression ratio until VC becomes the rule vs. the exception. My left eye twitches at the thought of a “broken piston arm rotator thinger” repair bill.

Kill the V6. 4-bangers are easier to work on anyhow. Ever try to change the spark plugs on a modern V6? usually not easy
