Actually not sure nurses are what was meant by lower paying jobs in the medical field. Nurses do pretty well, but there are tons of other people (phlebotomists, medical assistants, clerical, aides, lab people etc) who are very necessary and don’t get paid much at all.

Elsewhere in the comments it is explained by people who have dealt with it. The license isn’t taken away unless there has been zero payments for like a year, and all they have to do to prevent it or get it back is show up in court and pay ANYTHING. They don’t have to pay it all off, just make one payment.

If he just worked a minimum wage job in Oregon he’d make over 20K a year. And he’s living in mega-high-rent Portland, and has a gym membership. I don’t think this guy’s doing his best and just can’t make it work.
