Indentured servitude was nothing like chattel slavery. It’s a popular argument among racism/slavery-deniers, to say “well white people were slaves too.” But it was not really comparable. Not great, but not comparable. 

I don’t know if you will actually get to see this since I’m gray and I don’t know how that works, but my daughter just showed me a book she’s reading titled So You Want To Talk About Race by Ijeoma Oluo and so far it is amazing.  Recommend wholeheartedly.

Nope, “masseuse” is from the French and is specifically female. “Masseur” is the male version of the term. “Massage therapist” is neutral.
