I agree, but this show has totally earned the benefit of the doubt in my yes. The show has changed course in many ways, very abruptly, and it has not suffered for it yet. I will keep putting my full faith into it until it shows me otherwise.

I honestly think this might be my least favorite episode of It's Always Sunny. I get the concept, they just forgot to make it funny. Self-reference and callbacks in this quantity are unbecoming of what makes the show so great, even if it's intentional.

Gotta love AV Club. 30 Rock has an episode with some great jokes and one-liners but nothing special? C-. Community repeats its own blanket fort idea with an episode in a documentary format which has been done 3 times by them already? OMG A++++++ BEST EPISODE EVER!!!
I think the title had a lot to do with it. Same thing with Mars Needs Moms; I think about 30 million American boys heard that title and immediately thought the movie would be stupid. Never underestimate the power of a title to make or sink your film.
