To be fair the mayor of San Jose recomended that we stop building housing in San Jose in 2012, as he was tierd of being the Bedroom community of the Bay Area. We have a shortage of housing, and it is at the hands of the mayor.

The MTC have designated PDA's in San Jose. Developers cannot just build anywhere. Has to be next to transit. Ironically that is where the poor people currently live.
