I agree with your comment entirely. There is a world of difference between saying ‘teenagers don’t have a full grasp of consequences’ and saying that ‘beating each other up is typical teenage behavior.’

Fighting amongst teenagers varies greatly by location. That fact is exactly why fighting can’t be chalked up to being ‘typical teenage behavior.’

I love when people from NYC take that as the standard for everything. The fact that fights are common there speaks to something being wrong in NYC...not what is typical for teenage behavior.

I grew up in California. And yes there were fights, though they were more of a middle school thing and didn't happen in high school.
