Of all the Galifianakis jokes in all the world…
Of all the Galifianakis jokes in all the world…
I'm pretty sure you're trolling at this point, but I'll say this anyway:
The ending of that sketch from ASSSSCAT is probably one of the hardest times I've ever laughed. It's just perfect, and also signature Daly.
I always find it interesting how these giants of podcasting (Daly, Maron, Aukerman, etc.) got into it with no idea of how greatly it would affect their careers. So many of them just fell into it as a fun side gig, and now it's getting them TV shows. It's an exciting time for comedy.
"Prince Johnny" might now be one of my favorite songs of all time. Dark and beautiful in equal measure.
This may sound sarcastic, but I think Philip Seymour Hoffman would have truly been one of the first to come to mind for me prior to his death. I had been making my way through my personal gaps in his filmography recently, and he was always so, so great.
I like this perspective.
I'm afraid I agree. Her woodenness does contribute somewhat to the artificial, model-like presence she projects, but I feel like the show would have benefitted from a more naturalistic performer in her role.
I wish you hadn't posted this. Or anything else you've ever posted here, really.
Stella was the first alt-comedy show that I really got into. It probably opened the door to the comedy world for me in a way, apart from something like Friday Night Stand-Up.
It's the first thing he says in the movie, I believe. He's beating the shit out punching bags in the gym and Nick Fury asks if he can't sleep.
One film cliche that has been bothering me lately is when a character (whether human or supernatural) awakes from a long coma/hibernation/cryogenic freezing and is told they should get some sleep, and they ALWAYS say, "I'VE SLEPT ENOUGH."
I have yet to read a review of this thing that does not feature a "to the victor goes the spoils" joke. At least it wasn't the headline for this one.
I saw Ikiru for the first time at a meeting of my college's Cinema Club, and I remember having to go off by myself for a while after it was over to pull myself together. Truly one of the most beautiful filmgoing experiences I've ever had.
I can't explain why, but Win lighting that cigarette was HILARIOUS to me. Especially when he coughed immediately afterward.
I have nothing to add; I just want to compliment how perfectly this was put.
The Counselor is my least-favorite film of the year as of now. Its story might work in one of McCarthy's novels, but it had no business being released in its current state.
That's true about there not being a real front-runner this year. If I were a betting man, I would probably go with one of the Garry/Gilly episodes, Halfway to China, or maybe even the 4th Anniversary Extravaganza if it hadn't come out so long ago.
Agreed on Callahan. I can't think of any guest in the history of the show that was less-interested in playing along. Ducca and Pardo were still great though.
Ooh, I forgot about the Cornetto fellas episode. The Caine/Connery segment in that episode was PERFECT.
