It's definitely not the movie they sold to us with the trailers. I thought they might actually do something interesting with Pepper Potts when they throw the suit on her. But her storyline was the standard girlfriend in need or rescuing instead of Rescue.

You are assuming all of that works every time. Many people do pursue treatment but it doesn't always work. Even successfully treated people will talk about the years of trying get the right diagnosis and right medication blend for them.
