You're white? All this time I thought you were a schizophrenic black man.

"Broke, homeless and physically abused" white people have an easier life? Yeah, right.

Same here. I guess I should hide myself in a giant bag so as not to traumatize others.

She doesn't look that top heavy to me.

It's not that rare. I have a similar body type. I inherited it from my mother.

Men don't care anything about boobs? Right. lol

I knew it was 5'3" but have always found it surprising.

Same. I have no idea what sizes this article is talking about, but size 12 does not imply a 37 inch waist. Maybe they confused the waist and hip measurements?

You think poor white fat women are "highly privileged?" "Highly" is pushing it.

Agreed. I was surprised the average was so unhealthy. I expected it to be in the healthy range or only a little overweight, not a BMI of 33 with a 38 inch waist.

It sounds like your waist is pretty small, though, compared to the rest of your frame. I thought women with wider waists generally had more of a health risk than someone with an hourglass build.

Maybe it depends on what doctor you have. When I was 19 I was 5'6" and 125 lbs. and my doctor told me I was obese. I think some of them have a skewed view.

Unless you are living in a shack in Appalachia.

Exactly. What this article describes as "the average woman" is obese.

I thought it was the poor fat non-white women who were considered an oppressed class on Jezebel, but YMMV.

Western Massachusetts.

Really? I've been around a lot of women who are @ 5'4". They tend to be older, though. I think younger women tend to be taller on average.

That's how I've always felt, like I'm taller than everyone, despite only being 5'6".

Oh, I have no trouble believing they are really sensitive. It's just that they need to calm down since it isn't about them and there is no point getting upset about it.

Oh, I am so sorry. I hadn't seen hers when I said it. No need to be so snippy about it.
