That is very true, but a balance of the two seems to end up being the best option for many publishers. I see it as one studio making another boring game to make alot of money, allows for another under the same publisher to take a chance and make something new.

They're forgetting the current model of pre-order DLC where it becomes impossible to get the whole game unless you pre-order from 5 different stores.
