Oh my god, I just watched the first few minutes of this guy's video review of Inside, and he shows himself to be more precious and self-satisfied than any of the developers or reviewers he thinks he's standing bravely against.

Yeah, I have yet to play SOMA, but I hadn't heard a critique of the game like he lays his out right at the outset of that video. I think his process (wittingly or not) is to focus on the wedgiest of wedge issues that will make the biggest snarl when critiquing a game. Sounds like he wants to be a provocateur.

I know just which video you mean, and not to be too blunt about it, but that guy's a moron. He's making the same argument that a kid in high school makes when he says something like "How do we KNOW that the author meant for that flower to symbolize the sun, huh? She didn't write it explicitly!"
