Thank you, I shall be appropriating "Big Fun" to refer to Smoky Quartz from now on. Gonna store it on the shelf right next to "Square Mom," "Bird Mom," and "Rough Tough Chee-to Puff."

Word up to your first point, but I'd suggest Steven and Amethyst's potential was hinted at as far back as "Tiger Millionaire." Of course, we didn't yet know about fusion back then…

At least she's finally done….

This is a thumb drive of illicitly downloaded Steven Universe episodes. It reminds me of the time I watched lots of illicitly downloaded Steven Universe episodes.

Ooooooooh!!!!

That's what I figured too, but on reflection, SQ did say something about how Amethyst should know their name. Which suggests maybe she'd been SQ before.

Ah! Thanks for offering links for folks to see this; I downloaded it through less-than-legit means, and wasn't sure if I should even mention it. But every commenter here deserves to.

If you haven't been able to see the SU Minicomic Zuke worked on for Comic Con, you really should. She didn't write all of it, but there's so much beautiful Lapis/Peridot interaction in that comic that is more adorable than should be allowed.

Man oh man oh man. Yo-yo power.

I absolutely will. Good, expertly-produced intimate live sets are hard to find, and it'd be nice to discover a bunch from bands I love.

I like the fact that one of the banners in the background of the roller derby arena quotes The Pixies.

That KEXP in-studio show is really fantastic. Captures everything about the virtuosic performances from all three of them on their instruments, and it's clear as a goddamn bell. In-your-face, but also brings the whole range of tones from guitar down to bass…it's one of the better produced in-studio sets I've seen on

I adore "The Wagon," and it deserves its mentions in the list and in your comment. But the version embedded in the article makes me so sad. Not only is the song chopped and edited to hell, they actually SPEED IT UP, which is not an improvement at all. I assume they did this because a five minute song was unheard of

Truth of the matter is, you don't need an hour. You need one song, the quintessential Dinosaur Jr. song, "Start Choppin'."

Well, the fact that it shatters gems was the main point of his objection, but Bismuth's rationalization that it's not any worse than how Homeworld fights was also rejected by Steven, and rightly so.

I one the sandbox.

They could bring in pretty much anyone from Thrilling Adventure Hour and I'd be totally into it.

I just loved how baffled Lion looked when Steven helped Bismuth out of his mane.

She did indeed. And that's such a great changing of perspective, given how we were led to view bubbling through the beginning of the show. This Crewniverse really know their stuff when it comes to revealing the truth underneath.
