Roiland's quickly establishing himself as one of my favorite voice actors. Along with a great sense of pacing, he has some unfathomably deep wells of energy and mania to draw from, which feeds Rick's drunken scorn, Morty's frantic fearful stammering, and allows him to summon up unique verbal tics like the Meeseeks…

Yeah, I was surprised nobody else mentioned it before me.

Something tells me you don't have to "make" Billy Bob Thornton drink anything.

Perhaps develop a line of Mighty Max Wine-bergs?

The post-credits langolier/testicle time creature thing.

Part of it is how Roiland delivers it. I can't map it out, but it manages to get all the tension and delight you'd feel from returning from an alternate time split where you almost compromised your defiance of God in order to save your ass from an unmerciful hell, and still have enough joy left over to do the cabbage…

Not the way I do it, evidently.

Roiland's ability to deliver lines like this is an underrated element of this show's appeal. Rick's a crude, sociopathic asshole, but he still manages to be…cool.
