I’m sorry, I don’t agree. The downhill slide started with the “pivot to video,” and the merging of the old Onion sites with the toxic remnants of the Gawker cesspit. It was bad long before Herb and the move.

Hey, I saw Elvis working at my McDonald’s, so anything is possible!
Ha, had no idea this happened in Florence. My mom’s hometown, where I still have family. Absolutely beautiful place, and a cool small town Main Street drag with great food and shops. So...good choice, Lana.
“If not for me . . . do it for your country?”
Finally finding your way to that kickass party after a couple of hours driving around, perhaps with the help of tips from classmates you come across on the road, was one of the great pleasures.
Dude legit pulled a Bill Paxton in True Lies.
Ever since the first time I watched Everybody Wants Some!!, I’ve been waiting for Glen Powell to become the Next Big Thing and he keeps getting so close, but not quite there.
That sounds like a hell of a kindergarten.
The resemblance is striking!
To be fair, he only said he was opposed to trafficking. He never said he was against sexual assault.
the spiritual sequel, everybody wants some!!, is also terrific (and if you catch me on the right day i maybe even like it a little more).
They confused Edward Norton with the guy from ‘Mandingo’? Holy Christ....
Yep. And as stated above, human memory is frighteningly fallible.
The two options aren’t just that either it happened or the accuser is lying though. Ask anyone (family, a partner, friends) about a shared event you’ve experienced and you’ll get different answers than the one you think happened. People’s experiences are subjective.
She’s lying.
That’s all the proof we need. You hear that, Steve Martin? YOU’RE DONE!!!
As I said, not losing any sleep about it. On the other hand, several members of my family are law enforcement officers, and I very much worry about THEM. If someone gets hinky with them, doesn’t bother me at all if they shoot first and sort it out later, as long as they get to go home that day.
“Several” - out of how many millions of interactions with the police every year? Unfortunate things happen in a country of 350M people, too many of whom are gun toting wingnuts, which tends to make the cops a tad antsy. Not losing any sleep about it, but you do you.
“If you are not bound by the law, you are not protected by it either.”
This went down the way it needed to. I am normally very critical of any killing at the hands of police but in this case it’s pretty black & white. This “Sovereign Citizen” was the aggressor and earned his Darwin award, full stop.
