As someone who has been involved in actual real world union contract sitting-at-the-table negotiations (for over 2 decades), my original point stands. Read it again.  

True. But so is union organizing. Also- full disclosure. I have a union shop and have been involved negotiating contracts for over 20 years. My original point stands, which is from real world experience. Never had a strike or threat of one.

Because Lowes is where hope goes to die.

Counter-point: the best (and possibly extinct) negotiations are when both sides have knowledge of the other side’s position and there is some sympathy and understanding.
