They see the direction the video game market is going and are taking steps to diversify their retail holdings. What would you expect them to do? Stick their head in the sand like Blockbuster did and just pretend nothing is happening? I understand that a lot of people don't like Gamestop, for a variety of reasons (some

My feelings on shopping in their stores aside, I have to give GameStop credit for trying to evolve and stay ahead of the impending brick and mortal death march. They saw what happened to Blockbuster and are trying to keep in front of the curve. I can respect that from a purely business standpoint.

+1

You worked for that one.

Keep in mind that they are simplistic and repetitive to you and me, who are both seasoned gamers that expect a much more complex, mature experience in most of our games. These LEGO games aren't really marketed towards us. They're marketed more towards younger gamers, and with the great co-op it's a an opportunity for

Eh, I agree the gameplay is pretty shallow, but it can still be fun to play through a campaign in co-op. I've always thought TT did a good job putting some humor into these adaptations and making them entertaining despite the rather pedestrian gameplay.

I had never played a Civ game before, but I was looking for something to keep me occupied on nights when my wife claimed the Xbox, and Impulse had it for like 15 bucks, so I picked it up. I think it's pretty good, there was definitely a learning cuve but I've found it quite enjoyable. But now I'm seeing lots of people

I fully admit it was a stupid decision in retrospect, but I was 18 and probably drunk. Good decisions weren't exactly my bread and butter at the time. The worst part is I didn't even finish the damn thing in time, and my roomate took it home with him. He changed schools over the summer and I never got to pick it back

There's no "given". Best FF scene of all time is extremely subjective. I personally agree with him about the opera scene, but I don't expect everyone to share the sentiment.

I have to ask, since you're clearly a PC gamer and not a console gamer, why would people get you a GameStop giftcard in the first place? Just confused relatives looking for a good birthday gift who assume that all games generate from the same source?

Opinions on this will be pretty subjective. Everyone has their favorite moment, and often it's influenced by factors exterior to the game itself. How old you were when you played it, what circumstances you were playing it under, etc.

I don't preorder terribly often, but occasionally GameStop will run a deal where you get an extra 10 or 20 percent on your trades if you're preordering a certain title. If it's a game I'm planning on getting and I have stuff to trade in I'll take advantage of the deal. The way I look at it, preorder deals like this

The best scene in Final Fantasy history

That's great.

end up switching to formula which would only be hurting your child

It just seems that the only relevant concerns here are the paternity, which has been established, and the amount of support that will be awarded. If anything, bringing up the abortion demonstrates that he didn't want the kid, and the decision to move forward with the pregnancy was solely hers, which might damage her

If I recall from the original shitstorm, he has a wife and a baby, and I can't help but feel bad for them. Or for the kid at least. I mean, the woman married the guy, and she had to know he's a fucking mongoloid, so I guess she's somewhat complicit. But this guy is essentially unemployable, so Lord knows what kind of

There's absolutely no way of knowing if she had other partners at the time she was sleeping with Pinault. She might have or she might not have. Unless the father is 100% certain the child is his, I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for a paternity test when child support is being asked for, and certainly with this

And yet, WE DO.

That's an excellent post and and excellent breakdown of the situation.
