Probably the most BMW guy comment ever. Congrats. Late nomination but can this guy get a #COTD ?

A manual transmission is not about speed, hasn’t been for a good decade, it’s about a visceral connection to the car. It’s about feel.

    Seconded.

Maybe MikeL should try the base (manual) cayman and come back to comment when he has...I’ll wait.

I think this was meant for the truck trader article

Absolutely. If being punched in the face means I am in no way affected in the least bit in any way. Sure. Punch away.

Fake rear/side windows, overuse of chrome...boring wheels? if I had to be nit-picky that’s about it. It’s not bad though. Its boring for an EV. And then you have Chevy reliability so..

When people recline on me I really don’t care, so much so that I never even thought about it until I read this article. So I’m absolutely 110% OK with that kind of “complete misery”.

Fuck those people. The seats and airplanes are designed with reclining seats. If you don’t use it that’s your own strange martyr like tendencies kicking in, don’t try to shame me for using the plane/seats as they were intended to.

Love comparing my leisure travel to the Korean war.

Coming from someone who has done the Sydney to LA flight several dozen times it sure beats getting out in LA and waiting around for 4 hours, getting on another 6 hour flight to the east coast.

I agree - the current Hyundai design language makes me want to barf.

This is an interesting space... in the compact 3 row segment there’s really only 2-3 competitors, disco sport, tiguan, the glb and the model y. Not really a ton of choice so if you had to pick one and you wanted something “sporty” and gas powered it’s the best option... because it’s the only option.

But what if you don’t like mayo - is the Popeyes sandwich still worthwhile? Do they have other sauces? What about the sauces man?!? I need a good Sunday alternative.

    Here’s to hoping.

Couldn’t agree with you more. I looked at the new A-Spec when it came out as an upgrade to my 2012 TL SHAWD 6MT, alas, it felt slower, was less exciting. The ride was nicer and the tech was better but not $45k worth. Saved $10k and bought the Civic Type R instead. Very happy with that decision. At some point Acura

It also looks like Leclerc makes a small adjustment into Max, not sure that would have made a difference but there didn’t seem to be a deliberate intent from Max to force Charles off the track.

Meh.. buy a hyundai and come back to me. The shine wears off pretty quickly. I will not return to the brand without a significant differentiation/improvement from everything else out there, discount or none, the driving experience is numb and not very reliable.

Why don’t you get the new JCW Mini Countryman?

    I’d take it.

Other than the Volvo V60 Cross Country...what is the competition for the Outback? How many high riding wagons exist? A4 Allroad - is that still a thing? Does the Outback now compare to other taller 2 row SUV/Crossovers like the Murano, 4Runner, Grand Cherokee, Passport? Really? If so there’s some pretty potent V6's
