At best, it’s completely forgettable. I always thought this was such a huge miss for Pontiac. I find it hard to believe somebody couldn’t have come up with a design that at least hinted back to the original without looking completely derivative. Or just something that looked good, period.

I always figured these were just the equivalent of truck nuts for semi drivers. Now I know that...well, they’re only 95% equivalent to truck nuts.

I am not a fancy expert on how the government works, but some random, made-up department can’t unilaterally make budgetary changes, correct?  Doesn’t the House still control the purse strings, as the old saying goes?  Which isn’t to say the House wouldn’t go along with this, given its current makeup, but still.

CyberTruck, with the Enhanced Multi-Point Failure Mode (aka, the base model).  Maybe they can even get a deal on a used one from that Chechen warlord.

Oh, similar story here. My company has a “partner” agreement with VW because we sell them tons of software, and it’s supposed to give employees of my company pretty big discounts. I mentioned that out of curiosity during the Golf R “negotiations” (I wasn’t super interested, but they were offering 75% of the price I

SYNERGY!

I love how manufactures keep citing low EV demand and then offer nothing appealing to buy. I’m not going to pretend the ID.7 would go gangbusters in the US, but I’d seriously consider it, which I can’t say about the blobby ID.4 crossover or $60K for a base model van that, as far as I can tell, has only shown up in

I don’t really care about the rarity, but given current used car prices, $7900 isn’t bad for a “I need something reliable to get me from point A to point B” kinda car.  NP on that.

Chrysler with some other company that doesn’t make cars.

THAT THERE IS COMMUNISTIC!1!!!1!

I love it when I find a potential parking space for my relatively diminutive Golf R, only to realize that because of the size of the vehicles on either side and/or the owners’ inability or refusal to park them within the lines, I can’t even fit my hatch in it. I count myself lucky that I have no serious mobility

I loved these, and I’d be so tempted. I even luckily live in a state where a car this age would just have to pass the emission standards from when it was born, so it might pass inspection as is without too much bureaucratic heartache. But the (slight) annoyance of RHD plus a too high price forces me to say ND.

I read a science fiction novel a while back, set in the not too distant future, following a crew of astronauts that go up for a long-ish mission but then are unable to come back because they can no longer safely plot a path through the amount of space junk that’s accumulated. Turns out that was a pretty good

It is a bit of a gamble on Musky’s part, since Cheetolini’s affections are fickle. Bezos could show up, kiss the ring, and give the grifter an even bigger hunk of cash. It’s also entirely possible/likely that Bezos is less annoying to have around than Musk. But Bezos is still going to have to proverbially book his

True, but if I had this, I would be living in fear of the day the I needed to renew registration and somebody at the DMV said, “Wait a minute, WTF is this thing and why is it here?” The fact that the ad is so light on details about its immigration status doesn’t reassure me.  At best, it seems like it will be an

Nice to see that the “cut government waste” and “only buy American” admin with its stupid DOGE department is going to immediately...waste a whole bunch of money out of spite and potentially hurt an American company with 15,000 employees. But them egg prices, man, they’ll be beautiful.

The “go back to South Africa” line is just *chef’s kiss*.

I always thought that these were let down by the fact that they decided to put the face of a late-90s/early-00s Camry on them. It goes from inoffensively bland to indistinguishable from a decades-old Toyota/Lexus. And was the factory stick shift in these really only 2" high? I don’t need to pay $18K to play with a 2"

A loss of billions that Elon can’t siphon off for himself or to other companies will have an impact, though. On him. I know he often seems untouchable, but even he’ll feel that, especially since I feel like he’s (sketchily) using Tesla as a resource to prop up some of his dumber ventures.

To be honest, I’d consider it more seriously if the name was officially Busy Forks.
