While working at a home improvement store around 2010, I remember seeing a w124 that really caught my eye. It was fitted with rims and a subtle body kit but not anything modern. If I remember correctly it was a Lorinser edition... It was definitely neat!
I’m not an academic, although I love history, I think the answer might be complicated.... If I remember correctly legionnaires had to supply their own equipment, which meant there was a lot of variance in the looks of individual soldiers. One soldier might wear family heirloom armor while the soldier beside him wore…
What strikes me is how much larger the interior of these cars look without a gorilla as a reviewer... Which as a taller than average size man makes me sad. Because if Clarkson can fit in it comfortably... Then so can I.
That was my precise reaction...
Not all K-Car derived cars were sad... The Dodge Spirit RT was based upon a stretched k car platform... It was the “fastest 4 door sedan in America” for a bit with 5.8 second 0-60 time. Derivatives of the ubiquitous k-car underpinned most of Chrysler groups cars (and minivans) for a while and many turbo variants…
I also love the IS250/350. They have a near perfect nose to ass ratio. ;) That there’s how we measure purty-ness! (At least for cars.)
This actually looks pretty practical. The chassis is relatively flat for decent handling and design flexibility. It’s a box on wheels. looks like it uses space efficiently, and the seating looks pretty flexible.
I game share with my brother who bought Halo 5, so I wouldn’t not play Halo 5. However I would definitely buy this as it looks like a total riot!
Nah... Duct tape and a bungee cord to the seat back’ll fix that. /s
Well said. I would totally dig a Vega Cosworth. The first generation Vegas were extremely light weight (2150-2330lbs!) and were praised by Road & Track magazine as “The best handling car sold in America!” These cars were a huge step forwards, it was only the Chevy 2300 engine that let them down with an anemic…
I saw an auction for a (very rough) Dino 208 on ebay go for $25k or so because it was listed as a Dino in ‘other makes’... Then I saw a listing for one that was literally rusted almost in two at $250k. I was sad that no one I knew had the money for my little get rich quick scheme...
“You’ve been speeding, Dave...”
I didn’t say it was awesome just steady... But let’s be honest compared to Chrysler and GM’s abysmal quality during those years. Ford wasn’t that bad. When I went car shopping in 2015 it was a night and day difference in the feel of the cars.
I was a Chevy/Pontiac fan as a teen. However there was a reason Ford didn’t have to go bankrupt. They kept up build quality during the 2000's. In recent years I have been sitting on the Ford side of the fence.
Civ 5, pretty much requires an SSD. The other requirements aren’t too bad though.
Yes, we do need sub 3 second 0-60 times. Because I want the last ten seconds of my life to be to be the most exciting.
Honestly I find the Model 3 concept to be better looking than the Model S. It just looks tighter and more put together. The Model S looks like it has massive overhangs attached to the same size cabin for no other reason than to look swoopy. One is an E36 BMW(but shorter) and the other is a 95 Buick Lesabre as far…
The real question is.... Who would continue staring when a man in a suit whips out a silver dildo and says “Look at this!”?
Counterpoint...
