can someone explain how this is a “threat to democracy”

was expecting jesse hassenger to have written this the way it’s equivocating so fucking hard to try and make something mediocre seem impactful

well that was nice of Netflix to continue to offer her a career after she was such a jealous shit about someone else’s success

this show just can’t stop seeming like a bad parody of itself can it

what awful thing did you do in your past that you now find yourself here virtue signaling at every opportunity? it must have been bad for you to carry such guilt.

that’s a glaring fault with the internet, not 30 rock

oh brother, you have issues with elon musk having issues with the rings of power

Some say I’m a lucky grifteeeeerrrrr...Some say I’m the king....

you know, i would find that easier to believe if modern journalism operated on some sort of model that prioritizes people to click on things no matter how true or real they are.

it is the challenge of the modern intellectual to reveal that every opinion, no matter how genuine-seeming or supported by objective fact, is actually a smokescreen for crude bigotry.

so, much like the articles linked, this is a problem of poor quality writing and poor acting, dressed up by astroturfers to resemble a racist straw man. time will prove this, of course.

my favorite part of the movie is how he wrote it with the tone of a conclusion to a trilogy when it was the second film, making the writers of the finale have to scramble and retcon a bunch of shit to make it work. real cohesive.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

go away

COMMUNITY MOVIE

he said bush doesn’t care about black ppl :O

hey look at me i’m recognitions i constantly virtue signal to cover up for fucked up shit i did in my real life

lmao stay mad

that last part is key for the scheme. they don’t even need to find a greater fool to pay more for it than they did. they could technically sell it at a loss and still make a huge profit since it’s all their money.

i think one of the things that might keep them from being as widely adopted as microtransactions is the notion that the people who buy and sell them might themselves profit, and not the game companies. maybe if the smart contracts are changed in those games so the resale value goes primarily back to the developers
