wondering if the a.v. club will be reporting on its own Chicago staff being forced to relocate to LA or else face termination. probably not, right?

anybody who seriously thinks the Wachowskis are genius auteurs or that their films are “weird and personal” needs to seek out better films.
deeply personal? they’re overtly populist action movie directors lol.
gotta give credit to the Wachowskis for managing to spin a string of consecutive failed attempts at big-budget, crowd pleasing action movies as “the work of auteurs”. that’s a great PR team right there. m. night should try that.

translation: GoT has a new property coming out soon and Tyrion has to do damage control. they’re going with the tried and true method of misrepresenting the criticisms and disparaging the criticizers for not forcing a love of mediocrity.
good lord this looks bad

on his mom’s part? yeah.
could not be more wrong. the new star wars films were amusement park rides traced over the old film’s legacies. everyone in them acted and reacted as though they had watched the old films and were expecting each story beat as it happened.
