You should give Gardein a try. They’re the best brand I have found so far for “fake” stuff. Legitimately delicious stuff. They also make a stellar black bean burger.

Not so much. I find people go through moments like that where they just kind of flip on some random topic. For me this time it was anime, a year ago it was Jonah Ray. Before that The Avengers/Joss Whedon. I am back to being a constructive commentor (hopefully). I felt really bad about pissing off that one commentor…

The Beyond Burger’s are so good. My wife and I get them maybe once a month as a treat and go all out (I do a mushroom/onion/swiss version). They’re certainly better than anything fast food related, I bet you could have them pass at a Shake Shack with no one blinking an eye.

The market for “fake meat” is pretty competitive. I dunno what she was eating back then but when I started out all we had were like Boca Burgers.

I totally disagree. I never want “meat” I just want something savory, fatty, or salty. I don’t miss hamburgers at all, but if I need that feeling of eating a hamburger there’s tons of options. Sorry I was really in a foul mood this morning. Sorry if I came off like such a prick. I can’t recommend any horror anime, but I read a short comic series called Wytches which was kind of cool. I’d give it a so/so recommend.

I actually don’t like Animal Collective, because I’ve never heard any of their music, nothing against them at all. Just no opinion either way.

I can’t believe you watched 19 seasons of that show. I have to ask, was it worth it? Did any of it stand out? Was there any character development or shock episodes you weren’t expecting? That’s an intense amount of TV to watch.

I was coming back here to apologize to people for being on one today, since I’m usually not a mean spirited or rude commentor. I felt bad that I realized I was making fun of your fandom, which is something to do with wolves and girls in school uniforms or something (who am I to judge, really).

I think I just missed the Zim boat, I was a little too old or was into other kinds of cartoons. I know it was pretty popular at the time. I think Dexters Laboratory probably filled the Zim gap for me as being a really weird, sci-fi based cartoon with some questionable humor thrown in.
