That’s probably an excellent way to get them in. They can be a huge time sink I just don’t have anything I do regularly where I’d be able to also turn one on. Maybe walking to grad classes but I don’t even listen to music that much. Also I miss poker, it was huge when I was in HS (early ‘00s).

I take the subway to work, and like to know what’s going on so don’t usually have headphones in. I think if I lived somewhere where I owned a car I’d probably be into them a lot more. I’ve had a number recommended to me that sound excellent I just don’t have the temperament for them.

Touche. Point taken.

Thank you I thought I was losing my mind with this revisionist prequel history. They’re all miserable except ROTS has some cool action sequences.

I have never heard anyone say this. ROTS is watchable, the first two are absolutely unwatchable unless your like 6 years old, which is who they were made for. Six year olds interested in trade negotiations and racist caricatures of Chinese people and black people.

I haven’t read them, but I want to someday. I don’t think reading HP or YA as an adult is any creepier than watching cartoons as an adult or enjoying Superhero movies. You know, stuff for kids.

Ahhh Marty, now that we aren’t on Disqus we can’t us basic HTML anymore for italics or bolding things, you have to use the drop down menu in the comment toolbar. I have done this too trying to blockquote things and looked like a dingus.

The first episode is probably what you are talking about with the belching. Rick basically stops doing it all the time by episode two. He’s basically drunk out of his gourd for the whole pilot. If you stick with it, it’s maybe the best animated show on TV next to BoJack, but it also hits some pretty serious “feels”

Podcasts are not for me. I don’t like to just sit and listen to people talk, I don’t like to do two things at once (chores while listening to stuff) and a lot of them just seem really obnoxious. That includes the whole H3H3, My Brother and brother and brother or whatever, almost all of NPR, and basically anything else

I still think it was all a lead up to Trump TV which was going to be his way to compete with Murdoch who he hates. And he just got wrapped up in the adulation of crowds of assholes cheering for him. His ego drove him the whole way.

It’s funny that “top donors” of the GOP are actively courting him. Like they are so desperate for candidates they’re like “Kid Rock, well shucks he’s an American badass I hear!”

I mentioned something about PewDiePie, whose name I hate saying outloud or reading and my wife said “what’s a PewDiePie”.

If Kid Rock runs for senate and wins we’re doomed.

What’s with all you Kinja posters using the word “son” all the time?

The word was unqualified.

So favorite title sequences/songs? For me it’s easy. The Critic. Great homage to NYC, jazzy upbeat music, nice little gags thrown in. The outro too (with the Gracie Films jingle/logo) is still my favorite thing to fall asleep too if I am lazily rewatching the series.

Now playing

Revel in Harrison Ford directing traffic at the Lincoln Tunnel.

I remember reading he had also been planning a stripped down black and white straight monster movie, which sounds amazing. But I could fill Donald Trump’s empty brain cavity with how many films GDT has been attached to/planned/left.

So glad this feature is going to carry on. These are a great read and to me much better reviews than something like IGN puts together, they just come off more organic (Organic? Isn’t that just a buzzword that dumb people use to sound important).

So the AV Club has made good on their promise to port over old comments, which is great. I was looking at years old movie reviews the past few weeks looking for recommendations and it was a lonely, empty comment wasteland.
